22/365 Circus Animal Cookies

so yuuuuummmy! we have a pinoy version of this, circus theme too, forgot what its called though. anyway, this one has sprinkles, so more yuuum. but i have to slow down though, 6cookies is already 150cals. and im telling you, you’re not only gonna eat 6, swear. take this bag awaaaaaay!

20/365 izzo bizzaaarre.

I remember when Andrew Zimmern went to Hawaii for his show Bizarre Foods (now Bizarre World) he joined a Luau. One of the things he ate was this dark green stuff made of Taro leaves and squid. it’s said to be one of the most important dish in the Luau, he said if its good, then the celebration and all the rest of the food, will be good as well.

a good friend of ours brought a bag of those with some lomi lomi salmon and noodles so this afternoon i took a small portion and decided to try it.

and i have to say, its not that bad. it was sweet for some reason, but not bad at all. Andrew Zimmern wasn’t bullsh*ting, if it was freshly cooked then it might be even better. now if only i can remember what its called. gotta ask prest.

but yeah, i don’t think i can still eat raw fish eyes or bottled sea slug no matter how good you say they are. im good, i’ll choose my battles.

19/365 - i run hawaii!

ok, too much bad girls club for one day. channeling a little natalie here. nah, i dont think i can pull it off though, im too nice. NOT. NYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

well let’s just hope that i really don’t need to pull out that bad girl inside me, i don’t want to coz i know its not gonna be pretty. sure im not the type who picks fights like every 5 seconds, i like to keep the peace when i can. i’ve never been comfortable with confrontations, but that doesn’t mean that i’ll let everyone just run over me all the time. as they say, one can only take so much. and though i think i have a pretty long thread for tolerating bad behavior and im always one to try keep an open mind, but that’s just what’s so lethal about me.

18/365 - look what the mailman dragged in!

can i just say FINALLY? look what i got from the mail today! sos, it took forever to get this, almost a year actually (half of which is my fault, but then..) but glad to finally have an ID to show when i want to buy/order something like beer and stuff and not have to bring my damn passport with me all the time!

now i just need to apply for an SS#, wait for my interview date for mys tatus adjustment and hopefully get my greencard soon too. orayt. 2010 is looking gooood….

P.S. sucks that i took my biometrics during my pregnancy, look how big my face was. damn. bochog??

the last bag of fishballs. shiyet, i tried stretching it, but i can’t stand not cooking it when it keeps staring at me everytime i open the effing freezer. sorry pal, hanggang dito ka nalang, eto na ang katapusan mo.

thought of putting them together for a while. sean was crying like crazy. so i thought he’d calm down lil bit when i put him beside her. he did, for a while, then they started punching each other so i had to take him out. and i was scared too that the crib would give in. shiyet naman kasi ambigat na nila. lol!

btw, didn’t i tell you they know where to look when i take their pictures?? ayooos!

he loves them. so much so that he always fall asleep while staring at them go round and round and round. hahahahaha!

13/365 - We made contact!

suck it boy! lol! he doesn’t like his pacifier and started sucking his hand, yes, his hand, already. i was lucky to get this shot of him with only his thumb in. most of the time he’s trying to push that lil fist of his inside. easy boy.

for some reason, he doesn’t seem to be fazed by this loud machine that’s blowing cold smoke on his face. he actually loooves it. ayus talaga…

11/365 - the curve.

they really are growing up fast. like right now, shar is able to do this„, just a few more push and im sure she can roll over already. pretty soon they’ll be crawling…then walking..then running. ay yay yaay! workout ito!

10/365 - uhmmmm…its not what you think?

so i was craving for sinigang this night, went to sack and save to buy stuff. the thing is, they don’t have the usual vegetables needed for sinigang. most of the time i do with what i can find. unless i want to go all the way to waipahu to a place called Pacific, just to buy vegetables, mejo hassle. and yeah„still can’t drive.

so anyway, i was looking for a kangkong look a like, coz well, that and eggplant are all i eat in my sinigang anyway. lol. i saw one last bag of something that i thought looked like what i needed so i just grabbed it. the cashier and manager dont even the know what the hell that thing was called, but i thought what the heck, it should taste the same, looks the same. lol.

fast forward, was at home cooking already, i washed the leaves last since its the last to go in the pot anyway. while washing and getting just the leaves i want, i noticed that not only was it not kangkong, the leaves actaully looked like ganja leaves. cool, i thought, i hope this doesn’t get us high. hehehehe!

9/365 - Smile for the camera.

so the kiddos are extra playful already. they smile alot and they like talking… ALOT. they love it when you talk to them and they see your face up close. so its more fun playing with them now coz i get a legit response at least.

and what i love even more is that they seem to know where the opening of the camera is. i never had a hard time getting a shot of them looking into the camera. astig. wala na, bata palang camwhore na anak ko. lol!
